Discover the most indulgent spas in London with our tried and tested guide, from hotel spas such as The Four Seasons and The Rosewood to an escapists dream at the Thai Square Spa.

For couples: The Four Seasons Hotel Spa
From the Sky Spa Suites package, step into your own private room with views across Hyde park to make you feel like you’re a million miles away from the city’s busy streets. Enjoy a treatment with a private double steam shower, dressing room and relaxation area for you and your partner. We recommend the ‘Into The Clouds’ experience with 90 minutes of treatments for two people and an hour of relaxation time in the luxury of your own private couple’s suite with fresh fruit, we cannot recommend the personalized body massage enough – the masseuse tailors the fragranced oil and type of massage to your own needs and it is worth every penny.
£150 plus treatment costs

For Zen: The Thai Square Spa
The 2017 World Luxury Spa Award winner, the Thai Square Spa is an eclectic mix of Thai décor and Roman baths you won’t find anywhere else in the heart of London. With facilities such as hot (Sauna and steam room) and cold zones (Ice Fountain and Jacuzzi) to stimulate circulation and eliminate toxins, we then recommend the ‘Post Flight Serenity’ massage for our travel readers, where secret massage techniques are used to release the muscle and joint tension resulting from long-haul travel. These special techniques also reduce swelling of the feet and legs, and encourage healthy blood circulation. Perfect post-touchdown.
£85 for one hour

For luxury: The Rosewood Sense Spa
Soft lighting and wooden walkways over rippling water greets guests as they enter the spa, leading to seven treatment rooms, and facilities, including dry heat saunas, amethyst crystal steam rooms and a shimmering gold leaf relaxation lounge providing a restorative hideaway. We recommend the ‘Comme Unne Terre Fertile’ signature treatment, translating to ‘a deeper sensation of being yourself’; a full body massage which focuses on healing, starting with an opening ritual, dry oil is then applied using a deep pressure and stretching massage technique to relieve muscle tension, enhance circulation and stimulate the metabolism for detoxification.
£185 for 90 minutes

For the rooftop pool: The Berkeley Bamford Haybarn Spa
High on the seventh floor of The Berkeley, is a pool with a panoramic view of London. The swimming pool itself, tiled in iridescent white and gold mosaic, is an ideal place to notch up some laps or just relax after a treatment. Speaking of which, we recommend the Bamford Body Signature Treatment; 90 minutes of deeply relaxing massage will de-stress, spirit away tensions, melt anxieties and rebalance your weary body. The treatment starts with a deeply cleansing footbath, followed by a firm-as-you-like massage, using Shiatsu, Meridian and Swedish massage techniques, working together to relieve muscles, detoxify organs and ease energy flow around the body. Finishing with a pressure point massage to your face, neck, shoulders and head, and a little yogic breathing. Perfect for stress, tension, jet lag or simply pleasure.
90 mins £175
